ULA changes payload for Vulcan rocket to keep national security missions on track
United Launch Alliance (ULA) is working towards the launch of its second Vulcan rocket in the program's young history. This mission, dubbed Cert-2, is the second certification flight that will clear the vehicle for launching national security missions.
Originally, the mission was set to carry the Dream Chaser space plane on behalf of Sierra Space, a subsidiary of the Sierra Nevada Corporation. However, delays with the spacecraft caused ULA to change course in order to get Vulcan ready for launching missions for the National Reconnaissance Office (NRO) and the United States Space Force.

A little more than seven years after making its debut in 2017, Rocket Lab reached a milestone of 50 launches with its Electron rocket. It launched the 'No Time Toulouse' mission on behalf of French Internet-of-Things company, Kinéis, sending five of its satellites to low Earth orbit. Rocket Lab hit 50 launches with Electron faster than any other commercially-developed rocket to date. Leading up...
Mission update: Starliner's first astronaut mission to the International Space Station
Просмотров 15 тыс.14 дней назад
On June 5, 2024, Boeing's Starliner made history as the sixth crewed spacecraft to launch NASA astronauts from U.S. soil. The mission called the "Crew Flight Test" saw the spacecraft dock with "the big city in the sky," as mission commander Butch Wilmore calls it, on June 6. Since then, the crew has been performing checkouts of the vehicle, including the "safe haven" protocol, offering a look a...

I like how they tell us, they can see the curvature of the earth 🤣🤣
Cali is looking good
In Anaheim,CA. ( approx. 50 miles south from vandenburgh weather is clear partly cloudy. 6:47 pm
In pheonix arizona for business and saw the launch as it went into orbit... didnt know whatvit was till i looked it up
it's a spy satellite! Don't tell anyone guys!
The request of our customer???
Hmmm🤔...interstellar? Or are the lizard people leaving on southwest shuttles.😂
I'm hoping to catch a view from Las Vegas. Break a leg!
Too bad SpaceX super heavy and dream chaser can't get together and make something happen.
When will we ever get to the moon
I live in Arizona it’s hot 10O 🎉🚀
Really helping Climate Change.

Space is all fake .Earth is flat we are under a dome .Jesus Christ is the Lord.

Hello, Humans No matter what any human says, you can always improve yourself. Focus on what you want, and what you feel needs improving...and do it. TERRANCE OUT
Groton, CT had another overcast day.
Competition is good for inovation. As my old typing teacher taught us, "Good, Better, Best! Never let it rest Until the good is better And the better best. A good definition of synergy, perhaps?
Here's the unfortunate irony that exists in the space industry. Dreamchaser shouldn't have had to start from scratch. We had shuttle, we have X37B, both successful in their own way. Was any engineering or design shared with them? Doubtful. And they're not competitors in any way. Space exploration companies need to learn how to work together to build a space economy.
All paid for with tax payer money. We the people paid for these designs and own all the intellectual. It's all a scam.
Groton, CT Wolkentag auch.
and how much do these spacecraft cost?

When trump gets in office he will shut the wast of money down
@TheJoedirt6000, so …… the guy that started Space Force will cut spending on the Space Force?? Not a chance, nor should he. 🤔 🇺🇸 🇺🇸 🇺🇸
@@lylecoglianese1645 *IF* Trump wins . I won't put past him as he is short sighted, petty and incompetent enough to cut funding for space exploration . We've seen his sub par performance when he was President and an awful person he is.
Good morning, to all of my Logos and enitties 🙏🙏 from Jamaica 🇯🇲
Sad about Dream Chaser Hopefully stays on track for next Launch Date ☮️
Why not fly Starlinks or other ready to go satelites?
Starlink has a specialised dispenser. It is not suitable for Atlas, Vulcan or other launchers with rework which is a complex process taking many months.
National Security payloads simply mean "Skynet "
That’s why these are called test launches. 🚀
Try walking into an NRO warehouse at VAFB unannounced with a payload. It's a touch rough.
Everything should be recovered and recycled
as much as possible, absolutely agree
@@Dr_b_ great ! 👍
How are you astro NOTs getting out of the firmament!? It’s impossible because we are in the time and space realm. Fallen ones will not be able to ever see Heaven again or the Universes of Universes. Please stop wasting people time, money and mental states on lies. You can’t even explain where lava comes from and why you can’t go to space from the seas/oceans The skies are just like the seas/Oceans. Clouds are the waves. Sky is the water. Please wake up people. This is sad and embarrassing Happy Sabbath

Fully disposable rockets are obsolete before they are even tested.
in some cases cost of launch is less important
Yes, but they will take you to the moon. Starship still can’t make it to orbit and back in one piece.
Not necessarily. Reusable doesn't necessarily mean cheaper . Look at The Space Shuttle for example. And then there is also mission parameters . For example both Ariane rockets and ULA's can handle payload neither the Falcon 9 nor Falcon Heavy could. The SLS, despite its cost, is far more capable at deep space mission than the current and near future version of Starship. SLS may even be cheaper than Starship for such mission as Starship would need multiple , sometimes dozens, of in orbit refuel to match the one launch of the SLS.
To bad they can't put some Kuiper satellites on it or something.
This rocket costs too much and it all goes in the ocean. SpaceX a better way to space, cheaper too than Vulcan
Falcon dominates LEO... but for certain missions Vulcan can be cheaper... Like direct to GEO where Falcon heavy is expended. Starship could change that equation in a few years though.
Groton, CT cloudy day as well.
How absurd! How could I have overlooked this one?
@HeimiSoirn you must of overcasted the Forcast.
Pretty cloudy right now in Irvine California.
After StarShip starts flying payloads, this and all expendable 🚀 rockets will be obsolete. Only the ones with deep pockets will be only ones who can fly on it. StarShip will take most payloads into space and cheaper. Vulcan will be history.
Can see falcon 9 from Lancaster California any travels to space 🚀
You see the crashing rocket today
Have seen all flight in England hope all is well joe
